Design and test
The antenna is a critical component within any application, not only because in most cases the entire operation of the system depends on it, but, above all, because it is not a component that, once positioned, behaves uniformly in any device or environment.
The antenna, by its very nature, is subject to the influence of everything around it (the metal components of the device on which it is mounted, the material of the wall or pole on which the device is installed, the very position in which it is mounted) and this influence can manifest itself, for example, by changing the antenna's operating bandwidth or modifying its radiation.
ANT supports customers in these critical issues with a structure that can both test the behaviour of antennas and design custom-made antennas, even working directly with the customer's device, to achieve a result as close as possible to the real one.
The design usually takes place with an initial software simulation phase, followed by the production of a series of prototypes that are tested and modified until the best possible solution is found for any application. We are structured to produce most of the prototypes in-house, using, for example, a PCB milling machine and a 3D printer.
Our services also include evaluating the performance of existing antennas, comparing the behaviour of two or more antenna options under the same conditions, calibrating existing antenna models, and calculating impedance matching networks.
